To Do list

  1. Decide on an idea you're going to run with (pick a song  & a genre)  2. Do a visual brainst orm with a few inspirational shots of what 'look and feel' you're wanting, ideas you're thinking of etc. Scan this and upload to your blog. This needs to look like a mood-board / vision- board and be very visually informing. 3. Fil m a PITCH for your music video (either via I-phone / camera). Upload this to your blog. (Pitch your film as though you were seeking investment for your project). 4. Audience research - Show your pitch to 10 people and gather initial feedback on the idea. Create a blog post that outlines the main thoughts about the idea from those who watched the pitch.  Questions to ask (along these lines) - What genre do they listen to most? - What do they expect out of your genre when considering a music video for the music? (what conventions / elements do they expect to be included)? - Why do they watch music videos (if at all)? - How often do they w...

Ideas for Location

Image
Locations The location that we got inspired by was from the song sing by Ed Sheeran. In the Music Video Ed Sheeran is on a stage performing to no one but just standing there in the dark with one light on him while singing the song. BK Productions got inspiration to this as the Music Video we are doing of Ed Sheeran's involved another person, when Ed Sheeran finishes singing then YEBBA starts singing, we have decided to bring a girl on stage singing next to Oscar (Our Ed Sheeran). Another part of the location we have thought of putting it in a car park for when YEBBA is driving and listens to the song on the radio, she turns it up and starts singing to it then arrives to the sanctuary and walks on stage for her part next to Oscar and starts singing. The Location from where BK Productions will film is at city impact church, we will be using their sanctuary and car park. City Impact Church has got a lot of places to film that will help us create a type ...

PITCH Script

Hello, everyone thank you for taking time out of your day to listen to me. As you all may know you are here to give me feedback on my Music Video. The Music Genre Brianna and I have chosen was "Pop" there are a variety of songs we could have picked but we decided to use the song Best Part of Me by Ed Sheeran. Ed Sheeran's targeted audience is mostly young youth to adults from the ages of 10-27.           Throughout the Music Video we will use have included styles like Performance and Narrative, we believe that by adding these they will enhance the video and help you as the audience to understand what is going on.  Now you must be wondering what Performance and Narrative is, well it is commonly known as  a particular form of systematic critical analysis of the conduct and content of mass media in pursuing their stated or  expected objectives. And Narrative is media  that aims to tell a story, which  can also involve the passive parti...

Best Part of Me - Treatment

Image
A TREATMENT FOR    Best Part of Me - Ed Sheeran    Prepared by BK Production, Treatment created by Kevin Harris "Film it your way" It is proposed that the film will be from 4:03 to 4:20 minutes long, as we need to embed and intro which may include 20 more seconds. snippets of the film will be located in the sanctuary inside City Impact Church, and also the car park. The following conventions will be used in the film to help us achieve the full effect of the music video. Non-diegetic sound will be used as when the film switches to Narrative the music will be playing while a story is being told, Diegetic sound is also used for when Oscar is in the car driving and hears the song so he turns it up and sings to it, which also comes across as performance. The Mise-En-Scene used in the music video is with Oscar looking like he is performing at a concert but with no one there, he will be wearing a Brown denim Jacket, with grey jeans, and brown business shoes...

Welcome to ME

Hi my Name is Kevin Harris I am 17 years old living in Auckland, New Zealand, but was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am an A2 Media studies student, in my spare time I like to play sports like Soccer/Football, play Video Games, and hang out with friends. I was a student in AS Media Studies last year in 2021. I found A2 Media Studies through my school of City Impact School and I am really looking forward to it throughout the year. I am doing A2 Media Studies this year because I think that it will help me with my career when I leave school as I would like to be an actor. AS Media Studies had helped me with how to use the equipment to create shots and how they will sound. I am Hoping in A2 that my knowledge of these things will be advanced to make it second nature for me especially when making a Music video this year and how I will edit it and make it understandable for the audience which will help them to enter my min...
