• Covid - 4.63 million New Zealanders had access to internet at the time of lockdown.
• Donald being banned - Twitter, Facebook. Banning a political figure.
• Freedom of speech

• Big Tech - multinational conglomerates, own platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Insta) which should be platforms of free speech, but with examples like detailed information due to covid, and Donald Trump being banned from twitter and Facebook, these platforms should be a place for sharing perspectives and ideas, become restricting and editing by the people in power
• Gaming - GTA 5 is the best selling game in the world and of all time.
• BLM

Through this connection, technological advancements have grown over the years, which helps audiences connect with each other.

The media controls the stereotypes that are being fed into ideologies for audiences, which relates to hegemony as it perceives to the audiences of the social, and cultural influence applied by a dominant group.
